As noted in previous release notes, the new Starting Blocks submission process is now available in Office, and the previous submission workflow has been fully retired. All services that want to manage Starting Blocks fee and vacancy information in Office must use the new workflow, which can be found in Office > Child Care Subsidy > Starting Blocks.
We’re enhancing the Sleep Checks feature in Playground. Educators can now add recommended sleep checks - such as sleeping positions and breathing checks - aligning with Red Nose Australia guidelines, as recommended by ACECQA and SIDS research.
We have updates to the QikKids platform and NSW Start Strong 2026 Enhancements to share with you. These updates will be rolled out over the next fortnight and will be available to all users by 5 January 2026.
This new functionality will be visible in Office from 19 December 2025, but it will not submit data to Starting Blocks until 16 January 2026. The existing submission process will continue until the old workflow is removed. All data should be entered into the new workflow by Friday, 16 January 2026, to ensure it is submitted to Starting Blocks for the following week.
